Exploring more motion graphics. This particular test is for an effect I plan to use in an upcoming short film from Electric Soul Studios. I used an iPad app to light myself, After Effects for the energy ball, Final Cut for the editing, and Soundtrack Pro(… for sound). Anyhoo… Enjoy! -Vance

Those familiar with videocopilot will know what I’ve done here. Just testing out some new ground in After Effects along with some 3D modeling in Blender. New to both, and it was fun putting this together.

From the start I knew what was involved in the process, but now that I’ve done it I have a newfound respect for it… 2 and a half hours for this particularly famous video effect. Update, this is actually the revision to a previous post, so another 2.5 hours spent making this go from 9 seconds to 15 seconds worth of video.

Ladies and Gentleman, what you are about to see is not for the faint-of-heart. If you do not like the sight of fake blood(weird), than please do not watch this test I did in Motion 4. Other than that, I think it’s pretty cool.
